This dynamic workshop is sure to stimulate your spirit and your creativity. In a stress free and safe environment, you will be guided to explore your inner world and engage with others as you express your essence through the use of energy infused healing Soul Wraps. Come prepared to experience wisdom and learning as you dialogue with your soul! ^{Special Note . . . Our first holy communion class}

Our first group of youngsters from our Spanish speaking community have completed their formation training for the reception of their first Holy Communion. The Liturgy of Reception of First Communion will take place on Saturday, December 6^th at 10:00 am. A collage of the children who will be receiving the Holy Sacrament for the first time can be seen on the bulletin board. If you have a child age 7 and up or, if you are an adult who wishes to attend First Holy Communion classes to learn more about the Eucharist, the seven sacraments and the Holy Liturgy, please contact Bishop Seraphim for information on how to begin this process. A new series of 6 classes is scheduled to begin on Friday, January 9th. There is a fee of $20 per person per session. Please contact Bishop Seraphim if you wish to register.

CELEBRATIONS HONORING OUR HOLY MOTHER OF GUADALUPE- FRI. DEC. 12TH

On Friday, December 12 there will be TWO very special celebrations at the Shrine honoring our beloved Spiritual Mother – Our Lady of Guadalupe.

At 6:00 am ( Yes! At the crack of dawn) we will have the traditional singing of the Mañanitas to the holy mother with mariachis, sacred dances by Carmen Marrero, and a candle light procession with the holy icon followed by the celebration of a bilingual Eucharist.

At 7:30 pm their will be a special devotional service that will include sacred dances by Ricardo Bocardo, the veneration of the hand-painted icon of our Divine Mother and an outdoor ceremony including bless-

ings with the four elements and a candlelight procession. Participate in a healing ceremony known as “Under the mantle of our Holy Mother”. Participants are asked to bring bouquets of roses to either service to place at the feet of the Holy Mother.

Experience a new paradigm of community liturgical feast day celebrations for the entire calendar year with the Dances of Universal Peace at the Shrine of Holy Wisdom. Celebrate the Advent season with an inspira-tional evening of community chant and movement led by Jivani Joyce Carlson, local artist and Dances of Universal Peace facilitator who has danced in peace circles globally.  Jivani is a Sufi devotee walking the path of Universal Sufism which nurtures the recognition and experience of the Essence that lives within all faiths and all of life. As we enter the longest nighttime hours of the year, it is a time to draw inward, like the seed within the soil awaiting new roots for new growth, a time of gentle contem-plation and receptivity. is an inclusive ecumenical order following the Rule of St. Benedict.

The Order is established as a monastery-without-walls:

community members live in their own homes, many have families, and most engage in secular work. Our members are drawn from various Christian denominations and other authentic spiritual traditions. As Benedict discovered, each community has a life and character of its own. However, our goal is the same as prescribed in the Rule: to seek God. Thus, our Order blends the rich, yet diverse, Christian traditions to form a unique approach to monastic spirituality. We are deeply committed to social justice, and embrace everyone with the love of Christ as commanded by the Rule. As indicated by our

Charter, the order is open to women and men who seek a closer relation

ship with God. As a community we gather for common prayer, lectio divina, study of the Rule of Benedict, discussion of various religious topics, and celebration of the Eucharist at 7 p.m. on the first & third Thursday of each month at: The Shrine of Holy Wisdom in Tempe, AZ.
