observe the Paschal Mysteries!
April 3rd - Sorrowful Friday – 7:30 pm. A special altar to our Sorrowful Mother will be created for
devotees to offer their petitions and flower offerings. The rosary of the seven
sorrows of Mary will be recited after which the litany to Our Holy Mother will be sung. Each participant
will have the opportunity to taste of the tears of the Virgin.
April 5th – Palm Sunday –10:00 am. Today we
celebrate Mar Yeshua’s royal entry into Jerusalem with the blessing of the palm
fronds, the jubilant outdoor procession & a bilingual liturgy with music
provided by the Schola Cantorum.
April 8th – Deeksha Service – 7:30 pm.
April 9th – Holy Thursday – 7:30 pm. This evening we commemorate Mar
Yeshua’s institution of the heavenly banquet known as the Holy Eucharist. The Liturgy of the Holy Grail includes the washing of
the feet ceremony and the solemn procession with the Blessed Sacrament to the
altar of repose.
April 10th – Good Friday – 7:30 pm.
The
sung Gospel of the passion and death of Yeshua is interspersed with evocative
sacred music and meditations on the mystery of the crucifixion. The veneration of the Holy Cross and the
candlelight procession with the sacred burial cloth are the highlights of tonight’s liturgy which
concludes with the ceremony of darkness.
April 12th – RESURRECTION SUNDAY – 10:00 am.
Today’s celebration of the Resurrection of the Christos includes: the lighting of the Paschal Candle, the Easter proclamation, a jubilant outdoor Easter Procession, followed by a bilingual liturgy with music sung by the Schola Cantorum. Lilies will be distributed and Easter baskets will be blessed after the services. Each family will receive a traditional Ukrainian Easter egg.
